2. Procerin Hair Loss Treatment

Procerin is another non-prescriptive treatment containing an all-natural DHT inhibiting ingredients that come in tablet form as well as a topical solution. Procerin treatment is only for male. When used daily, it can help reduce and delay male pattern baldness or androgenetic alopecia.

It is a known fact that androgenetic alopecia is caused by elevated levels of DHT in the scalp. Someone with genetic predisposition will cause the enzyme 5-Alpha-Reductase to convert testosterone to DHT in abnormal levels and when they reach the scalp, hair follicle are stymied from producing healthy hair strands as they grow weaker finer hair that easily falls off.

Procerin works by blocking DHT without interacting with testosterone as do many prescriptive anti-DHT drugs. It can arrest hair loss without leaving any sexual side effects from prescription Finasteride-based medications like Propecia. Procerin is most effective in young men between the ages 18 to 35 with premature hair thinning and even older men for as long as there are still fine hairs on the scalp.

1. Provillus Hair Loss Treatment

Provillus is the most common non-prescriptive treatment that is formulated for men and women. Nettle and Saw Palmetto are the key botanical ingredients that are both proven to block the enzyme 5-Alpha-Reductase from converting testosterone into DHT that cause prostrate-relates problems. As DHT inhibitors, the substances are also beneficial for treating premature baldness.

Promoting hair growth starts with hair follicles getting all its nutritional requirements. Provillus delivers the essential nutrients they need for sustained hair growth. They include vitamins and minerals for hair follicle enrichment such as Vitamin B6 and its product biotin needed in natural hair keratin formation. Hair strands are 100% keratin. It is also rich in the minerals Magnesium and Zinc known to improve cellular metabolism.

Zinc is also known to inhibit 5-Alpha-Reductase activity that causes the over-production of DHT. Together, these particular set of vitamins and minerals promote protein digestion and healthy blood cells to maintain excellent skin and scalp conditions.

In addition to Saw Palmetto and Nettle, Provillus contains other herbal substances such as pumpkin seed oil extracts that also show DHT inhibiting action. It has Eleuthero, which is used to be known as Siberian Ginseng that figures prominent in traditional Chinese herbal medicine for helping the body cope with stress known to cause hair loss. It also contains the Brazilian “potency wood” called Muria Puama that is traditionally used for centuries by Brazilian Amazonian tribes to mitigate hair loss.

2 Types of Non-Prescription Treatment for Hair Loss

There are two types of non-prescriptive treatment that can help address the most common form of hair loss - androgenetic alopecia. This is thinning of hair in men and results in receding hairline as well as a balding crown over the head. These non-prescriptive treatments are Provillus and Procerin. They both contain active ingredients that variously counter or block the production and effects of DHT or dihydrotestosterone in the body that are overproduced in men genetically predisposed to androgenetic alopecia.

If you are considering this option, consult with your doctor or dermatologist to confirm that you do have premature male pattern baldness and that either drug is safe for your particular need.
