A healthy set of hair has a healthy balanced diet behind it. Cosmetic products may give your hair the added sheen and body that make for a gorgeous hair, but it’s really all about having a healthy body to start with. Maintaining your hair also means preventing hair loss. Here is short list of suggested hair loss prevention foods.

6 Types of Hair Loss Prevention Foods

Coupled with high quality proteins, iron and vitamin B12, you have the ingredients for hair loss prevention foods in your culinary regimen.

3. Nuts

Go nuts for a healthy hair. They also contain Omega-3 Fatty Acids as well as Alpha-Linolenic Acids that condition the hair. Cashew nuts, Brazil nuts and almonds are rich sources of these acids as well as the mineral Zinc.

4. Dark Green Vegetables

Spinach won’t make you a strong as Popeye, but you get a rich source of Vitamins A and Vitamin C that enable the body to secrete the natural oils that condition the hair. Broccoli is another source.

When they are served, they supply the protein your scalp needs to maintain hair thickness and replenish lost hair.

Consider taking diet supplements with the vitamins and minerals suggested above if you think your diet does not contain them. Check with your physician to confirm which deficiency you suffer from so you can address that with a vitamin – specific diet supplement rather than a multivitamin supplement.
